The Flip Ski Boot

(Ireland) is a ski boot that allows the user to step out of the rigid boot and walk in a soft soled boot, giving the user freedom on the mountain. This is achieved due to a front releasing tongue. The tongue allows the user total control over the tightening of the boot as there is a ratchet system built into the heel of the boot.

Interior Compositing Device

(Switzerland) is a bin that decomposes organic waste quickly without having to worry about the smell. When the aperture is opened and closed, the body of the bin rotates, creating heat inside. This process causes the waste to decompose. It can also filter the compost so it can then be used as fertiliser.

IP Address

Here is a new way to change your ip address:

To start off, you need a direct connection to your modem and computer. If you have a router, disconnect it and directly hook up your modem to your computer.

1. Open up the command prompt by pressing Start->Run and typing in cmd

2. In the command prompt, type “Ipconfig/all”. This will tell you your current IP Address. After, type “ipconfig/release”. Keep the command prompt open for easy access.

3. Go to “Network Connections” (accessible through the control panel). Right click “Local Area Connection” and click “Properties”

4. With “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) selected, click the “Properties” button.

5. A new window will open. Under the “General” tab, select “Use the Following IP address”. Under “Ip Address”, put “10.0.0.1?. Press the “Tab” key on your keyboard.

6. Press Ok on both open windows.

7. Repeat steps 3-4. Under the “General” tab, press the radio button “Automatically Assign Me an Ip Address”. Press ok on both windows.

8. Go back to the command prompt and type in “Ipconfig/all”. You’ll now notice you have a new IP address.

So, this will be handy if you want to by-pass Rapidshare 1 hour download limit, provided that you have a static IP address.

Spirulina

Spirulina is microscopic blue green thread-like microweed of sweet water, which can also grow in sea water. Nowadays it is called Arthrospeira and belongs to the cyanobacteria. It consists of many cells that form threads which sometimes are spiral, hence its name Spirulina. Its blue-green color is due to a coloring substance, the protein phycocyanine ( a very powerful antioxidant ) and also chlorophyll, the green coloring substance of plants.
It is regarded as the richest in protein green food source. It contains 5% fat without cholesterol, a great percentage of which lies in the form, of vital for human health omega-6 fatty acids, linoleic and gama-linoleic acid in particular.  The latter is only met in maternal milk and evening primrose oil. It is proven effective in the treatment of premenstrual syndrome, skin disorders and obstructs the concentration of cholesterol in blood vessels.
Nutritional value
• It has 60-70% protein content. Respectively, the content of other foods is soya 35%, milk powder 35%, meat 15%-25%, eggs 12%, cereals 8%-14%
• Its content in B12 is 2-6 times more than raw beef liver.
• It contains 58 times more iron than raw spinach and 28 times more than raw beef liver.
• It is 3 times richer in vitamin E from raw wheatgerm and has 49% better absorption from synthetic (L) vitamin E.
• A source of beta carotene, certainly 25 times higher than raw carrots contain.
• Its polyunsaturated fatty acids are three times more than the ones of evening primrose oil.
• The concentration of chlorophyll is 5-30 times higher than the seed of alpha-alpha, wheatgrass and barley grass.

Color as Symbol

An understanding of color theory has been around since ancient times. Colors have been recognised for their symbolic power across many cultures and in nature herself.
Red through its association with fire and blood is used to represent danger, anger and violence. For the same reason it is also associated with affairs of the heart: love and passion.

Orange symbolises creativity and endurance. As a secondary color it combines elements of the colors used to mix it. It unites the creative passion of red with the clarity and wisdom of yellow.

Yellow is the color of the sun - the life support for our planet. As such it has come to represent life, energy, happiness, hope and wisdom.

Green, as the color of plants and grass, is the color of nature and all that is associated with health and growth. However, it is also used to represent more negative traits such as envy and inexperience.

Blue is the coolest and most calming of all the colors. As the color of the sky, it has been used since ancient times to represent heaven. In classical mythology, blue was the color associated with the gods, Venus and Jupiter. In Christianity, it becomes the symbol of the Virgin Mary as Queen of Heaven. As the color of the ocean, it is also suggests qualities like freshness, purity and hygiene.

Purple is the color of royalty, wealth and power. In times past, purple dyes were rare and expensive. Only the rich and powerful could afford to wear clothes of this luxurious color.

Brown is the color of earth, wood and stone. As such, it evokes craftsmanship and the great outdoors. It is also used to represent humility: a down to earth virtue.

Black and its association with darkness is used to represent death, evil, witchcraft, fear and sorrow.

Grey is the natural color of some metals and stone, but it also has negative associations with the weather, boredom and old age.

White and its association with light is used to represent peace, purity and goodness.

Vedic Maths Tricks

I came across this trick in vedic maths. I would like to share it.

FIND THE SQUARES

a) 44444^2=

b) 555^2=

c) 99999^2=

d) 66666^2=

now we can observe the repetition of a digit in all these numbers. In such pattern we can use the duplex method to find the square.

a) 44444^2=

· count the 4's

· it comes for 5 times in the numbers

· so now in ans. write down square of 4 that is 16 as the last part of the ans.

· than go on writing table of 16 for 5 times (duplex of the numbers will give us the table of 16)

· than reverse of the table of 16 up to 1

· 16/32/48/64/80/64/48/32/16

· as we know tens digits are carry overs so our ans. is

· 1975269136

b) 555^2=25/50/75/50/25=308025

what if the numbers are

a)1212^2

b)1414^2

a)2121^2

Do anyone know the answer of this.

Japanese baby-bot to shed light on human learning

Japanese researchers have created a baby robot designed to simulate the behavior and development of a real infant in an effort to better understand how humans grow up.
"You can load your software into the robot, watch how it reacts to human actions and its surroundings, and compare it with the behaviour of real children," Kuniyoshi told AFP Tuesday.

Transfer your Website to another Host

Do you think that you can transfer your website to another host? Is it possible? How can

it be possible? There will be many questions regarding. But it is possible. Yes, This is the

article where you can know how to do this easily. Moving your website from one host to another

host is fairly simple and for most sites can be done without any downtime on your website.

Transfer of the website involves transfer of both domain and the files and intellectual

properties that constitute the website. This is a big process but not a tough process. First let

us see how to transfer the websites without the database. Here is the checklist:

1.Find a new hosting provider and purchase a hosting account
2.Upload your website content to the new hosting account. You will be able to check that it works

as expected by surfing to the IP address.
3.Login to your domain name account and change the nameservers over to your new hosting company.

Typically 2 nameservers are setup - they may look like this ns1.hostingcompany.com. If you bought

your domain from your current hosting company then you may have to ask them to do it.
4.It would normally take 24-48hrs for the nameservers to propagate, once they are updated your

website will automatically be served up from your new hosting company
5.Cancel your old hosting account once the nameservers have updated. A easy way to tell if they

have updated is to make a slight change on the old website, once you don't see that anymore then

you know it has switched over and you can cancel your old account.

Let's now discuss how to transfer the websites with the database. Here is the checklist:

If you have a database then you need to ensure that the database retains its integrity and no

data is lost in the transfer. If you have a database that is not written to much then the switch

can be close to the above scenario.

1.Find a new hosting provider and purchase a hosting account
2.Backup your database and FTP it to your development PC or your home PC
3.Upload your website to the new hosting account. You will be able to check that it works as

expected by surfing to the IP address (type the IP address into the browser instead of a domain

name).
4.Create a database with the same name as your old database and the restore it using the backup

file.
5.Login to your domain name account and change the nameservers over to your new hosting company.

Typically 2 nameservers are setup - the look like this ns1.hostingcompany.com. If you bought your

domain from your current hosting company then you may have to ask them to do it.
6.It normally takes 24-48hrs for the nameservers to update, once they do your website will

Some have queries relates to transfering the domain name, downloading the site, uploading the

site, etc. Fo them you can visit this link to get the step by step procedure on transfering,

uploading and downloading.
