Color as Symbol

An understanding of color theory has been around since ancient times. Colors have been recognised for their symbolic power across many cultures and in nature herself.
Red through its association with fire and blood is used to represent danger, anger and violence. For the same reason it is also associated with affairs of the heart: love and passion.

Orange symbolises creativity and endurance. As a secondary color it combines elements of the colors used to mix it. It unites the creative passion of red with the clarity and wisdom of yellow.

Yellow is the color of the sun - the life support for our planet. As such it has come to represent life, energy, happiness, hope and wisdom.

Green, as the color of plants and grass, is the color of nature and all that is associated with health and growth. However, it is also used to represent more negative traits such as envy and inexperience.

Blue is the coolest and most calming of all the colors. As the color of the sky, it has been used since ancient times to represent heaven. In classical mythology, blue was the color associated with the gods, Venus and Jupiter. In Christianity, it becomes the symbol of the Virgin Mary as Queen of Heaven. As the color of the ocean, it is also suggests qualities like freshness, purity and hygiene.

Purple is the color of royalty, wealth and power. In times past, purple dyes were rare and expensive. Only the rich and powerful could afford to wear clothes of this luxurious color.

Brown is the color of earth, wood and stone. As such, it evokes craftsmanship and the great outdoors. It is also used to represent humility: a down to earth virtue.

Black and its association with darkness is used to represent death, evil, witchcraft, fear and sorrow.

Grey is the natural color of some metals and stone, but it also has negative associations with the weather, boredom and old age.

White and its association with light is used to represent peace, purity and goodness.

Vedic Maths Tricks

I came across this trick in vedic maths. I would like to share it.

FIND THE SQUARES

a) 44444^2=

b) 555^2=

c) 99999^2=

d) 66666^2=

now we can observe the repetition of a digit in all these numbers. In such pattern we can use the duplex method to find the square.

a) 44444^2=

· count the 4's

· it comes for 5 times in the numbers

· so now in ans. write down square of 4 that is 16 as the last part of the ans.

· than go on writing table of 16 for 5 times (duplex of the numbers will give us the table of 16)

· than reverse of the table of 16 up to 1

· 16/32/48/64/80/64/48/32/16

· as we know tens digits are carry overs so our ans. is

· 1975269136

b) 555^2=25/50/75/50/25=308025

what if the numbers are

a)1212^2

b)1414^2

a)2121^2

Do anyone know the answer of this.

Japanese baby-bot to shed light on human learning

Japanese researchers have created a baby robot designed to simulate the behavior and development of a real infant in an effort to better understand how humans grow up.
"You can load your software into the robot, watch how it reacts to human actions and its surroundings, and compare it with the behaviour of real children," Kuniyoshi told AFP Tuesday.

Perfection Tips

I thought of giving a beauty tip daily in my blog. I am starting from this.

Take a basin filled with luke warm water. Add 20-25% of salt in proportion to the water quantity. Place your feet in this water for 30-45 minutes till the water gets cold.
This is will give a good relaxation to feet, especially for a tired feet that hurts.
